Teaching Timetable Activities

All students enrolled in AED2240 complete two arts subjects: Music and Visual Arts. Each subject is taught as a separate 6-week module. The order of modules may vary and is listed in the comments section of each class on the ECU timetable. Due to the practical nature of Music and Visual Arts, students living near an ECU campus are encouraged to study on campus where possible. Teaching is delivered through a weekly 3-hour seminar rather than a lecture/tutorial format. Students are expected to attend their allocated seminar throughout the semester. Seminars are held in the music and visual arts studios on each campus. For students enrolled in off-campus study mode for the unit, online learning activities are designed to support practical, authentic online study in both subject areas. The Music Module is delivered through weekly live online seminars. Students are expected to attend all seminars during the 6-week module. The Visual Arts Module is delivered asynchronously, allowing students to complete weekly learning activities at a time that suits them. Academic staff monitor student progress through Canvas. Please note that off-campus students may need to source some consumable materials for the Visual Arts Module. Required materials and household items will be advised at the start of each semester.
